This little guy was a perfect subject. Some cute smiles while awake, and then once I got him to sleep, he stayed that way while I snapped away. Congrats to the Lydiatt family with this adorable blessing.

Christmas 2012

A long time ago, before children, I despised Christmas. All the family gatherings, constantly on the move from one house to the next, and then all those blasted dishes to do. I realize now, that I was totally self absorbed, like any teenager or young adult. Now a days I leave the Christmas tree lights on all day, have cheesy and antique decorations and bought into the elf on the shelf craze. We don't have any hard and fast traditions, but am looking for something special. Do you and your family have traditions that you just couldn't live without?

This is one of my favourite ornaments. It's a Christopher Radko, and I have about 7 different ones. 

This is the only ball type, and it's stunning. In my opinion

Last week I made Pinterest inspired Christmas Trees. I finished making the actual magazine trees (ok I just realized I did a terrible job), but never did get around to decorating them. 

What are the chances I'll finish them?

Maternity Photos - Calgary Family Photographer

This session was done at the perfect time. The next day we had a huge snowstorm and then 3 days later the baby came (3 weeks early). I've actually already taken the photos of baby Jaxon and I am working on posting them next week.

Harper This Fall

Harper is almost 9 months, and she is still the best baby. Although she is very interested in everything around her, she is still not crawling. Which is just fine with me, seeing as I am busy with 2 other kids that run everywhere. Her smile is so infectious, and she does show her 2 teeth (which she got at 8 months) almost all of the time she is awake. Her favourite thing to do right now is scream. It's not because she's upset, but trying out that voice of hers. The boys and I laugh when she does this. 

Of course with Jonas at school most of the time now, Rhett has really taken on the big brother duties. He is a very good helper and Harper loves to watch him run around. 

I had Jeff take a few pictures of Harper and I (mom's everywhere are hardly in any pictures). Jeff did a wonderful job, and since this fall was amazing the back ground is perfect.

Every Year for the past 3 years I have had the opportunity to photography this wonderful family.

 I love watching their kids grow and change.

Little Marshall's

I usually take lots of photo's of my kids, but they stay in the computer, and never get displayed. As I was going through the lot, I noticed Rhett isn't in a lot of photo's. I guess I need to get more of the middle child.


Jonas is almost 6 and started grade 1 this year. He loves biking, swimming and making me laugh/cry.

Rhett is 3.5 and started Pre-School. This is his smile, and god do I love it. He gets aways with a lot when he flashes that thing!

Harper is 7 months old. She sits pretty and smiles all day long. She is a complete princess, and I have no problem with that. 

Rachel & Nick - Engagement Session

 It was a beautiful night, the light was perfect, and the subjects were willing. What more could a photographer want? This couple is getting married next year in the Dominican, and unfortunately, I won't be attending it. I hope the hotel photog is good!!

I just love this family, and it was so easy to get some great photos of them. We thought the massive thunderstorm was going to get us, but we got lucky and it passed just north of us!!
