The Last of Fall

Back From Argentina!

Jeff and I are back from Argentina and, much to our dismay, arrived to a winter wonderland!

I really enjoyed the trip, and have so many wonderful memories.

Here's a quick run down:

We met some interesting people.
Ate liver, cow intestines & blood sausage.
Listened to folk music in an authentic Argentine town.
Walked our butts off in Buenos Aires, Mendoza and Bariloche
Sat on tours buses for days on end - saw some great sights
Biked some good single track, hiked a few good trails
Shopped for some leather products
Drank great beer and wine
Had the best Pizza over and over again
Empenada's were always a great snack
Got my purse and camera stolen
Weather was awesome
Chewed on coca leaves - got a headache from them
stayed up too late and slept in
Never did make it to the night clubs - 2am is too late for me to START dancing
Took in a Tango show
Walked around the craft markets - everywhere
Had many espresso's & pastries
Couldn't wait to have a decent breakfast when we got home!!

Congrats to Rebecca, Geoff and Big Sister Sydney

I love when good friends have kids, because taking photos is always a good excuse to come and hold the baby. I don't think I've had a newborn session lately that has gone this smooth. While taking some pictures Ryan fell asleep in the cutest position possible. I didn't want to move him to do more shots, so instead I brought mom over to "get the shot".

Sydney was on princess patrol that day, and she did her duty as big sister to smile, kiss and jump when asked.

Little Ryan is so loved and so cute!!

Fall Pictures - Calgary Family Photographer

It was a beautiful fall day, and what a fun family!! Tania is one of my newer friends, and I love her because we have the same personality type. She gets my no nonsense comments and sarcasm, and so naturally it was an instant connection. Her kids cracked me up, and I swear the sweet little girl was in no mood to smile...I had my work cut out for me!

New Skin - Calgary Newborn Photographer

When I walked into this New York Style apartment my jaw dropped at the stunning view before my eyes. Then I got my first look at the baby, and well, I just melted. This couple was so great and let me move anything I wanted to 'get the shot". Baby T was excellent, and didn't cry until the last shot.

 Ahh I love my job.

Leaves, Girls, and Smiles

This cute family was the easiest to photograph. I joked after taking 6 photos that I was done. Usually I can go well over the 1 hour tying to get the kids to smile and place them in the right light....not this family, I was done and out of ideas after 45 min. As you can see everyone was looking in the right direction and each one has a great smile in every photograph.

I had so much fun and I think they did too.

Baby Turns 1

Newly Weds Britt and Rich celebrated their daughters First year Birthday with pictures!! I had the pleasure of meeting Andie when she was only a few weeks old, and now to see her smiling and giggling (oh the giggles) was a bonus. Rich is my good friend Melissa' s little brother, and so I was more then happy when I got the call to photograph this family. The next photo session I have, I am employing Britt to do all the "posing". she told me she had some recent experience with pictures - did I mention they JUST got married!
